3 Easy Guilt Free Summer Time Cocktails Using Cold-Pressed Juice

3 Guilt Free Summer Time Cocktails Using Cold-Pressed Juice

With hard dedication these past months to remove sugar and reduce cravings, I remain determined to not allow myself to go back to old habits when looking for a beverage to cool off with. I’ve struggled to find fruity, sweet cocktails without sugar or aspartame for those hot afternoons with friends or family. This problem helped inspire me to seek out new ways to enjoy my summer cocktails without going against my diet. Here are 3 guilt free summer time cocktails using my some of my favorite juices from Revitasize.

Sun Power Sangria

  • 1 bottle (500 ml) of Revitasize Sun Power cold-pressed organic juice
  • 473 ml of white wine
  • Choose your fruit:
    • Organic pomegranate
    • Organic pineapple
    • Organic granny smith apple
    • Organic orange
  • ½ to 1 ounce of Triple Sec (optional)

Kathryn’s Thoughts:

Choosing The Perfect White Wine.

With the fruity sweet taste from Sun Power, I wanted a wine that wouldn’t compete with the flavour of the juice. Therefore, my recommendation is to look for a dry, crisp, unoaked wine. I used a unoaked crisp chardonnay, but you can also use Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or Vinho Verde.

Creating The Perfect Balance.

Everyone is going to be different on this part and it really depends on the occasion and your preference. For me, I found going half and half was a nice balance between the wine and cold-pressed juice. I would recommend starting here, and then adding more wine or triple sec.

Directions:

  • Pour Sun Power and wine into a pitcher
  • Add triple sec (if desired)
  • Add in desired fruit
  • Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight
  • Stir well before serving

Blue Magic Bellini

  • 1 bottle (500 ml) of Revitasize Blue Magic cold-pressed organic juice
  • 1-1/12 ounces of vodka or other desired liquor(s)

OR

  • Prosecco or Champagne

Kathryn’s Thoughts:

Whether or Not to Make a Frozen Bellini.

Personally, I would not freeze my Bellini if I were having Prosecco or Champagne in it. I would serve it chilled instead of frozen because I would not want to lose bubbly texture in the blending process. If I were using vodka or any other liquor, I would defiantly blend it if I had time or was only having a small amount. Chilled makes it quick and easier to have a bigger batch without having to worry about watering the mixture down by using ice or having it melt.

Direction For A Chilled Bellini:

  • Pour Blue Magic into the glass until it’s about half full
  • Gently pour the prosecco or champagne to fill the glass. This helps to preserve the bubbly texture.
  • Stir well before serving

Directions For a Frozen Bellini:

  • Mix the Blue Magic and vodka in the blender
  • Add 2 cups of ice to the mixture to begin with
  • Start with pulse or a low speed setting when blending before eventually building up speed
  • Check consistency, and add more ice if needed and repeat step 3

OR

  • Freeze Blue Magic in a container that will allow easy access to it after it’s frozen
  • Place frozen juice in blender with liquor
  • Start with pulse or a low speed setting when blending before eventually building up speed
  • Check consistency, and add more ice if needed and repeat step 3

Tango Bellini

  • 1 bottle (500 ml) of Revitasize Tango cold-pressed organic juice
  • 1-1/2 ounces of vodka or other desired liquor

OR

  • 1 cup of Prosecco or Champagne

Kathryn’s Thoughts:

Experiment With Tropical Flavored Liqueurs or Liquors.

If you’re looking to add more flavors through liqueurs or flavored liquor, be careful of the added sugars. The Tango juice is fun to experiment with as it is a light fruity taste and takes on other flavors well. Now, not all flavored liquors/liqueurs are high in sugar, but you need to proceed with caution when looking to add more flavour to these Bellini’s while trying to remain guilt free! A healthier alternative to add more flavors is to squeeze fruit juices into your liquor to naturally add flavor without all the sugar.

Direction For A Chilled Bellini:

  • Pour Tango into the glass until it’s about half full
  • Gently pour the Prosecco or Champagne to fill the glass. This helps to preserve the bubbly texture.
  • Stir well before serving

Directions For a Frozen Bellini:

  • Mix Tango and vodka in the blender
  • Add 2 cups of ice to the mixture to begin with
  • Start with pulse or a low speed setting when blending before eventually building up speed
  • Check consistency, and add more ice if needed and repeat step 3

OR

  • Freeze Blue Magic in a container that will allow easy access to it after its frozen
  • Place frozen juice in blender with liquor
  • Start with pulse or a low speed setting when blending before eventually building up speed
  • Check consistency, and add more ice if needed and repeat step 3
